Black Stone ( Hajar Al-Aswad ) is believed to be a stone which was given to the Prophet Ibrahim A.S to install in the Kaabah. What is history behind Black Stone?

But real history of Black Stone is unknown which is before the Islam. In the first siege of Mecca, the black stone was broken into three pieces. A big stone hit it which was thrown through a catapult. First siege occurred in the year 683 CE. The Hazrat Abdullah Bin Zubair R.A made the frame to protect the Black Stone from further fragmentation.

How was the Black Stone put in the Kaaba?

In the era of Meccan tribes, when the Kaabah was rebuild and the Black Stone was set in the walls of Kaabah. There a conflict raised between the heads of Arab tribes. One of the Chief gave the suggestion that one who will enter in the Kaabah will set the Black Stone in the walls of Kaabah. All the tribal chiefs agreed on his suggestion. First man who entered in the Kaabah was our beloved Prophet PBUH, he took a cloth sheet and place the black stone in it. He PBUH call all the tribal chiefs to hold the corners of that sheet and in this way the Black Stone was carried to the Kaabah. Holy Prophet PBUH put that stone in the Kaabah. According to an account when Hazrat Ibrahim was constructing the Kaabah with his son Ismail A.S, Hazrat Jibrael A.S gave this stone to the Ibrahim A.S. According to the scientists it is a part of Meteorite. According to the Islam it is a meteorite which was thrown towards the earth when Hazrat Adam A.S was sent to the earth.
